I was thinking of a way to save money and make a special holiday gift that is for everyone. It was christmas time so I started thinking of everything that has to do with it. There are snow men, candy canes, ginger bread houses, and all of those seemed to be out of the budget. When you have alot to make you get creative. I looked around the house to see what i could use and make. Then it hit me the NORTH POLE !!!!!!!!!!
I am always reading parenting magizine and they do alot of crafty things with children. I also decided to go thru the betty crocker baking and make a treat while we made our gifts.
To get started i needed to collect alot of toielt paper rolls. I asked my mom, and sisters to keep theirs.
I also used copy paper and colored construction paper. The only thing i needed to go buy was the small size red christmas bulbs. Thanks to having children I already had the elmers glue, scissors, and the consturction paper. For the base I used an old card board box cut into 4x4 squars and covered with copy paper. We used scotch tape on the base. We also enjoyed listening to music on the radio. The children wanted candy on there baked goods, so we had a large assortment of m&m's , spree"s, candy mints, and small candy bar's like butter fingers, snickers, mound's, and pepermint patties. We had so much fun, I plan on doing this every year with a different project. This can be done for any holiday just look around your house and think of something to make. And most of all HAVE LOT'S OF FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
